In your latest Jane Smith Financial Planning team update, we’re delighted to introduce the newest member of the Jane Smith family, Client Services Administrator, Jade Clewlow.
We’ll be formally welcoming Jade to the team by putting her in the spotlight to find out what she gets up to inside and outside of work.
Jade has been with us for just over a month and has settled in amazingly well. Many of you may even have spoken to her already.
Either way, we’ll sure you’ll join us in welcoming Jade to the team and wishing her all the best.
And now, over to Jade.
As Jane Smith FP’s newest recruit, Client Services Administrator Jade feels at home in her new role.
“I’ve worked in the finance industry since 2008,” says Jade. “I had a break from the sector when I took my A-levels and then a three-year gap when I had my daughter. My new role is very similar to positions I’ve held previously, but I chose Jane Smith because of their reputation within the profession.”
“They are highly regarded for providing outstanding service to clients, and also for taking the growth and development of their staff very seriously.”
This is very important to Jade. She already holds the CeMAP qualification and will begin working towards her level 4 diploma shortly.
Jade’s experience has meant that she has been able to hit the ground running.
“Day to day, I’ve been liaising with clients, preparing for meetings, providing valuations and answering client queries and requests. My role allows me to have daily interactions with clients which is a part of the job I really enjoy.”
“I’ve settled in quickly and everyone has been very supportive.”
“My beautiful four-year-old daughter keeps me busy when I’m not at work. We’re always out and about, enjoying days away or playing sports in our back garden.”
“My whole family is really sporty – football, basketball, badminton, tennis, trampolining in the garden. I’m encouraging my daughter to join in and be as fit and active as possible.”
“She’s really into Arabian gymnastics currently and all of our family are keen skiers.”
Jade values quality time with family and friends, which means plenty of family holidays, days out, and beach trips. Travel is also very important to Jade.
“My favourite pre-motherhood destination was Marbella. Although I haven’t made it back there yet, we have been to Majorca, Cuba, Spain and Turkey.”
“I’d like to go back to Marbella at some point, but I’ve also got swimming with sharks and an African safari on my to-do list. These will need to wait until my daughter’s a little bit older though!”
“Something else I’ve always wanted to do, and which might happen a bit sooner, is a skydive. My brother has already done one and it would be great to tick it off my list.”

Not only have we put Jade in the spotlight, but we’ve also subjected her to some quickfire questions too.
Name your top three likes: “The beach, good food, sweet treats… and retail therapy. I’m also an animal lover! And I know that’s five.”
And three dislikes: “Spiders – they’re horrible! – being cold, and long queues.”
The top three qualities that draw you to new people: “Friendly, bubbly, and a nice smile.”
What is your pet peeve?: “My pet peeve is definitely being cold.”
And the best gift you’ve ever received?: “My daughter.”
