As February starts, we say goodbye to January “lockdown”, and have to consider at least another month of tight measures. We can’t ignore the grim headline that the UK exceeded 100,000 deaths, nor can we forget their families and those who remain seriously ill. However, (as seems to be a recurring message from me) there are glimmers of positivity. Not least among these is the roll out of the vaccine progressing at pace.
As we deal with the challenges of balancing home-schooling and working from home, business continues relatively as normal. However, there are a number of good news stories from the team that we would love to share with you; Jo moved house last week, Hannah’s studies for her exams are going well and Bertha the puppy continues to grow, much to Poppy’s annoyance!
New additions
Exciting news included the arrival of the latest addition to the Jane Smith family. Clare, our Technical Specialist, and her husband were delighted to announce the arrival of Rose Harper. She’d obviously found Mummy’s tummy very comfortable and wasn’t keen to leave, finally arriving more than two weeks late on 2nd January. I’m sure you’ll join myself and the rest of the team in congratulating Clare and Gareth on Rose’s safe arrival.
Professional excellence
Back in November we heard that we’d made the New Model Adviser Top 100. In addition, we were thrilled to hear last week that from those 100 firms we’ve been shortlisted to the last five firms in our regional category. We’re up against some stiff competition, so fingers crossed for the announcement later in the month.
VouchedFor vouching for us
We know that “social proof” is a key marketing tool. Prospective clients like to see and hear what existing clients have to say. So, your reviews are invaluable to anyone looking for a financial planner to work with. An added bonus has been the fact that we have qualified for the 2021 VouchedFor Guide to Top Rated Advisers, distributed in The Times. The list is compiled based on client reviews on the VouchedFor website, so the fact that it’s based on your feedback is even more rewarding. We rely on you to sing our praises, so please keep singing and thank you.
In what has been a pretty grim month, we hope you’ve enjoyed our positive Jane Smith round up. Things to look forward to include that by the end of February we’ll be enjoying a whole extra 1 hour and 43 minutes of daylight every day!
