Charity coffee morning sets new record!

We’re delighted to confirm that thanks to the support of all those who attended our annual coffee morning on Friday 17th November, and to local businesses who donated some amazing raffle prizes, we raised a total of £533.30 for Toby’s Trust, which is more than last year. Thank you everyone!

It was also great that Toby and his parents Tim and Kim popped in to say hello. Finally thanks must also go to our hard-working arts and crafts stall holders – Donna Marie Jewellery, Wax and Melt, Jackie Vine Glass and Jo Ferris. They enticed people to shop early for Christmas with their beautiful items and kindly donated some of the proceeds from the items they sold.

Toby’s Trust was set up by Toby’s parents to fight the impact of Dravet’s Syndrome, following his diagnosis at six months old. Dravet’s Syndrome is a severe, life limiting form of epilepsy that impacts Toby’s development, muscle tone, appetite and ability to talk. He has hundreds of partial seizures throughout the day and suffers from tonic seizures, multiple times a week, that are life threatening. Toby is a very determined little boy and the funds raised will help towards supporting him and his family for whatever needs they have, both now and in the future.
